Meditation changes lives for the better and it has the power to change yours too! There are many different styles of meditation so it is important to find a technique that works for you. From our many years of experience, we believe the mantra method, combined with yogic breathing practices the most simple and effective, working well for beginners especially and anyone that has a true desire to practice.  Ability to sit in the lotus position is NOT necessary! Meditation can be practiced anywhere, from your favorite chair, sitting up in bed, in your car, on a train or even park bench.

I recommend private tuition for indivuals completely new to meditation wishing to start a regular routine or couples, friends and families that want to learn together and share the cost. In a typical session we will discuss, why, where, when and how to meditate. You will be guided through a meditation using Pranayama (deep breathing techniques) and a sacred Mantra, and given an audio of the guided meditation to be able to listen at home, in case you need reminding of the tools. We offer ongoing advice and support for cultivating your home practice.

 

For true success in meditating daily, it really is necessary to follow up with more sessions as you progress, or attend ongoing group meditations. We hold group Meditations by donation from time to time, and these are a powerful way to deepen your meditation experience and build on your meditation tools and skills. Each time we gather together, along with the guided meditation, there is connection, support and laughter. Often there is a topic/theme shared surrounding yogic philosophy, as well as the guided meditation to slow the mind and soothe the nervous system. These sessions help to bring us into stillness, releasing stress and promoting a peaceful environment for your body and mind to heal. All sessions end with herbal tea and homemade treat.

Time To Meditate -  Learn to Meditate 4week course


For best results of understanding the mind and how to train it to meditate, we highly recommend the 4 week Learn to Meditate course. On this course you will learn simple, yet highly powerful techniques to help you set up a regular meditation routine. You will connect with a deeper side of yourself and learn about the science and philosophy of the mind and meditation. You will see for yourself the amazing results that daily meditation can bring. The course content will include:

Week 1: The Power of Mantra

This first session we will talk about why, how, where and when to meditate and the powers of using a Mantra to meditate. You will be given a sacred Sanskrit Mantra for your own practice.
 

Week 2: The Power of Breath

This week you will learn about the powers of deep breathing and why they are so important not only for your meditation, but for your health and well-being. You will be given specialized breathing techniques to help still the mind
 

Week 3: Challenges of The Mind.

We will discuss the challenges of meditation and learn how to over come them and explore the different aspects of the mind and consciousness. You will gain insights into how the ego/lower self can sabotage your progress and how to tap into your intuition.
 

Week 4: The Power of Energy

This last session we will have an overview of what has been learnt and discuss the commitment and results YOU have achieved. We will discuss 'prana' (energy/lifeforce) and how this is relevant and can be used in your meditation. You will be ready to receive more advanced breath work and a new purifying Manta.

Each session is approximately one hour. Audio recordings can be available for every class and ongoing support after the course has finished.

​
